Welcome to the Voet van Afrika FAQ page! Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about the event, including race details, entry information, and what to expect on race day. If you need more help, feel free to contact us — we’re here to make sure you have the best experience possible!
The 42.2km race starts on the Elim road, around 8.5km outside Bredasdorp.
The marathon starts at 06:00.
We’ll arrange transport from Bredasdorp Sport Grounds, with the first vehicles taking you to the start from 04:45 (and then every 15 minutes or so after that).
The 21.1km starts in Napier at Agulhas School Of Skills.
Own transport to the start of the race. Transport will be available at the finish to collect your vehicle in Napier after you complete the race. The return shuttle service will start at 10h30 and will run continuously on a rotational basis with the last shuttle departing after prize giving at 12h30. There will be 2 taxi busses running during this period and will depart once full.

If you entered online, we’ll send you an email to confirm your entry (be sure to provide us an email address).
Prior to number collection days, we will also send you an SMS, indicating your race number and collection date and time. Be sure to bring your proof of entry, email confirmation or SMS confirmation to registration.
Number collection will take place at Sportsmans Warehouse Canal Walk on Thursday 19 September 2024 from 12:00 until 17:00.
Number collection will also take place on Friday 20 September 2024 at Bredasdorp sport grounds from 14:00 until 21:00 and Saturday 21 September 2024 from 04:00.
No, seconding is not allowed.
There will be a collecting point at the start of the 42.2km, 21.1km and transported to the finish for collecting at the tog bag facility.
Tog bag facilities for the 10km race are at the finish.
Tog bag facilities are used at your own risk.

Entry fees are non-refundable.

For the full marathon, half marathon and 10km races: No entries will be allowed on the day.
You can enter for the Toontjie (the 4km fun run) on the day of the race (Friday 20 September 2024).
If you’re one of our winners, you must be present at the prize giving to collect your prize. The prize giving starts 15 minutes after the cut off time of the marathon (12:00). Only club members qualify for team prizes in the full and half marathon.
